Elena Tzanou Consortis

Dr. Elena Tzanou

Scientific Associate of Environmental and Hydraulic Projects

I was born in Piraeus and lived in Ioannina until 1993. From 1993 to 1998 I studied in the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specialising in the field of transportation and hydraulic works. I continued my studies, completing a postgraduate program of studies in 1999 specialising in the field of environmental engineering at the University of Leeds, U.K. After returning to Thessaloniki, I did a PhD thesis at the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the subject of Environmental Engineering and Sanitary Technology. I speak English, French and German.

Since 2000 I have been active in the field of environmental and hydraulic studies, with a significant number of public and private projects, systematically engaging in the assessment and study of the natural and building environment, as well as with a wide range of hydraulic works such as water supply and sewerage networks, liquid and solid waste treatment systems, flood protection works, delimitation of water courses, etc. I find it important to participate in research projects and studies concerning environmental engineering, management of natural ecosystems, hydrology, prevention as well as management of natural disasters.

Since 2001, as a scientific associate I have taught courses in higher education institutions in the subjects of environmental management and hydraulic engineering. I have published research work in Greek and foreign scientific journals, as a result of my collaboration with other scientists & researchers in Greece and abroad.

My collaboration with Consortis has now surpassed fifteen years. Whether we are experienced or new at Consortis, we all together consistently meet demands of the company in the field of environmental and hydraulic engineering.
