in the "Agios Nektarios" settlement of the Municipality of Ampelokipoi-Menemeni. Active green spaces, a network of paths and rest and recreation areas are created. A multifunctional center will be centrally located in the block, to house supportive social services. Α square is formed with tree plantings, pergolas and appropriate equipment to create favourable conditions for social interaction, recreation and daily activities.
Furthermore, the surrounding roads and sidewalks will be arranged to ensure accessibility, parking spaces, and more.
The settlement will include a total of 20 prefabricated houses, of 5 different types. At the center of the settlement, a multifunctional center will be created in the main square to host supportive social services.
A key objective is the integration and incorporation of the area into the broader region and its connection with the surrounding neighborhood. The project also aims to place the prefabricated houses on the plot according to bioclimatic design principles, ensuring the creation of new green spaces and the design of appropriate communal passage and recreational areas that provide shading, ventilation, and sunlight for the houses and their surrounding environment, while ensuring accessibility for all and meeting all functional needs of the settlement.
The bioclimatic design principles aim to ensure cooling and ventilation during the summer months and sunlight during the winter months.
The primary goal of the intervention is to provide new communal spaces to the residents of the block and the wider area, as well as to upgrade the broader region.
