Pilot project for common EU curriculum for road safety experts: training and application on secondary roads

The PILOT4SAFETY project partnership was consisted of 14 partners, namely FEHRL, Region of Central Macedonia, Austrian Institute of Technology, Carlo Polidori, Catedra Ineco, Centrum Dopravniho Vyzkumu, Astral, Bast Federal Highway Research Institute, University of Catania / Faculty of Engineering, Rander Kommune, Generalitat de Catalunya/ Departament de Territori I Sostenabilitat, BRRC, COWI, Universita degli studi/ Roma Tre.

The specific objectives of the project were: a) To develop curricula and tools for the auditing and inspections of secondary roads in a group of EU Regions tailor made to the needs of regional/local authorities, b) to reach an agreement between the involved Regions about the acceptance of a common training curricula and the exchange of safety experts, c) to carry out one road safety audit and one road safety inspection on a project and on a road stretch in each participating Region.

Consortis was involved in the road safety audit and the road safety inspection that took place in the Region of Central Macedonia.
