Interactive workshops for children, noise and air pollution
What is air pollution? What causes air pollution? What is noise? How is it created and what can we do to reduce it?
These are some of the questions that will be answered during the 39 children’s workshops, regarding air pollution and noise, that will take place from February 22nd until March 23rd. The workshops are organized within the framework of the "Enhancement of ecological consciousness and promotion of environmental volunteerism in the Municipality of Ampelokipi – Menemeni” act.
In these workshops, students from the 5th and 6th grade of Ampelokipi - Menemeni elementary schools, can participate, as they have already been taught the course of Environmental Study and therefore the introductory concepts related to the protection of the environment.
Children will have the chance to learn about these two phenomena through fun games and experiments, appropriately designed for children, and presented by experts.
The purpose of this action is, through the workshops, is to make a substantial information and immediate sensitization of children on environmental issues, that concern this area and specifically on the issues of air pollution and noise.
