
Maria Samara
I come from Velvento, Kozani. I graduated from the Civil Engineering Department of the Democritus University of Thrace. In the context of my thesis, I dealt with ECC composite cementitious mortars, which are a unique class of paving concrete. During my studies I participated in two youth exchange programmes (erasmus+), on the protection of the natural environment and multiculturalism, which took place in Spain, where I attended a variety of seminars.
In summer of 2018, in terms of my internship at Consortis, I worked with topographical drawings in the design software, Autocad. Since July 2020, I joined Consortis' Hydraulics department, where I am working on Hydraulic Infrastructure projects.
Alongside my work, since October 2021, I am attending the Postgraduate Studies Programme (MSc) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) entitled "Sustainable Design of Engineering Projects against earthquake and other natural hazards" (SDEP), in order to rapidly specialize in the technology of protection of the built environment from earthquakes and other natural hazards. The main topic of my thesis is the "Seismic evaluation of a high-rise building using the analysis methods of the EC8 and regulation of Interventions texts".
I have an excellent knowledge of English and programs such as AutoCad, Projecad, QGIS, WaterNet, ERGA- manager, Coord-GR, Revit Structure, SAP2000.
Regarding my personal interests, I like gymnastics and music, as well as, I enjoy travelling.
