Completion of the RECREATE Project
On Thursday, October 31st, at the amphitheater of the Technical Chamber of Greece / Section of Central Macedonia, the final event of the RECREATE project was successfully completed.
The event, marking the completion of the Recreate project, gathered some of the most prominent names from local government, the academic community, and the fields of technology and transportation. The project was implemented by Consortis Geospatial (project leader and coordinator), the Laboratory of Transportation Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), KTEL Thessaloniki S.A., with Deloitte serving as the business development consultant and the Thessaloniki Transport Authority (OSETH) as a as an affiliated partner.

In the first part of the event, discussions focused on the prospects of public transportation in the digital era and the need for investment in innovative, technologically advanced solutions to enhance urban mobility. In the second part, the project partners presented the results of the RECREATE project, including the innovative i-RECREATE mobile application, which allows citizens to track location and occupancy of buses in real time.
The event concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Inclusion between the project partners and OSETH, sealing the commitment to the continuous improvement of public transportation through innovative solutions.
